Turn Down the Heat: Updates in Non-hormonal Treatment for Menopausal Vasomotor Symptoms
Description
Many patients will experience the challenge of symptoms of perimenopause and menopause, yet many health care professionals are not comfortable with how to do so safely and effectively. This webinar will review the most current guideline recommendations and evidence-based non-hormonal pharmacotherapy treatment for vasomotor symptoms of menopause. Discussion will include a review of new and emerging agents that target mechanisms specific to the thermoregulatory dysfunction in menopause. The audience will be encouraged to differentiate between agents in each therapeutic class and to use those differences to select agents that demonstrate superior safety and/or efficacy in specific patient populations. The audience will apply the information to patient case scenarios throughout the presentation.
