Cardiovascular Risk Reduction in Older Adults
This interactive BCGP recertification webinar will provide pharmacists with the opportunity to apply knowledge related to appropriate use of pharmacotherapy for cardiovascular risk reduction in older adults with multiple cardiovascular disease states. Pharmacists will work through interventions related to appropriate drug therapy selection and construct a plan to optimize drug therapy and monitor for therapeutic outcomes for these problems.

Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this application-based activity, participants should be able to:
- Evaluate risk versus benefit of use of pharmacotherapy for cardiovascular risk reduction in older adults.
- Construct a treatment plan for a patient with atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) risk based on clinical assessment and goals of care.
- Devise a strategy for monitoring therapeutic outcomes after interventions related to nonpharmacologic and pharmacologic treatment options for ASCVD risk reduction.

Senior Care Pharmacists who provide expert advice on the use of medications to individuals and older adults and are committed to providing person-centered care, considering the complex interrelationships between disease states, nutrition, medications, and other variables.

CPE & BCGP Credit: You must complete the post-test and evaluation by the expiration date to receive credit. You have three attempts to achieve a 75% or higher on the post-test. ASCP reports CPE attainment to ACPE and NABP via the CPE Monitor system. The course should be posted within 24-48 hours of evaluation completion. The participant is responsible for providing their correct date of birth (MMDD format) and NABP e-Profile ID on their member or guest profile on the ASCP Website.
