TARGET AUDIENCE
The 2022 Peter P. Lamy Memorial Lecture will be a fireside chat featuring Dr. Michael Steinman.
Dr. Steinman is a national leader in identifying and improving the quality of medication prescribing in clinically complex older adults. Dr. Steinman's research program focuses on improving how medications are prescribed for older adults and is supported by grants from the National Institutes of Health and other funders.
Dr. Nicole Brandt, executive director of the Peter Lamy Center on Drug Therapy and Aging will host the discussion. The Peter P. Lamy Memorial Lecture honors Dr. Lamy, a pioneer in geriatric pharmacotherapy who dedicated his life to improving drug therapy for older adults.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this knowledge-based activity, participants should be able to:
- Describe how implementation science can inform efforts to improve deprescribing care.
- Explain how the types of outcomes that we seek to achieve through deprescribing can differ from what we seek through prescribing.
- Explain how policy solutions can support pharmacists in deprescribing.

CLAIM CREDIT
CPE Credit: You must complete the **post-test and evaluation by the expiration date to receive credit. You have three attempts to achieve a 70% or higher on the post-test. ASCP reports CPE attainment to ACPE and NABP via the CPE Monitor system. The course should be posted within 24-48 hours of evaluation completion. It is the responsibility of the participant to provide their correct date of birth (MMDD format) and NABP e-Profile ID on their member or guest profile on the ASCP Website.
