TARGET AUDIENCE
This course is intended for any pharmacists interested in the discussion of: Evidence-Based Vaccination Recommendations for Older Adults
CDC adult immunization recommendations changes frequently and keeping up-to-date on current vaccine literature is important to best screen and provide immunizations to older adults, who are at high risk for vaccine preventable diseases. Through this presentation, pharmacists will interpret and apply evidence-based literature that led to current vaccine recommendations for older adults. By the end of the presentation, pharmacists will be able to determine which vaccines are recommended for older adults.
LEARNING OBJECTIVE
At the conclusion of this application-based activity, participants should be able to:
- Formulate a list of recommended vaccinations given a patient case.
- Identify risk factors for older adults which would indicate them for pneumococcal vaccines.
- Evaluate primary literature which led to current pneumococcal vaccine recommendations.

HOW TO EARN CREDIT
Post-Test: You will have 3 attempts to achieve a 70% or higher on the post-test assessment.
CPE Credit: You must complete the post-test and evaluation within 365 days post purchase or by the expiration date, whichever occurs first to receive credit. ASCP reports CPE attainment to ACPE and NABP via the CPE Monitor system. The course should be posted within 24-48 hours of evaluation completion.
