Target Audience:
This
webinar is designed for pharmacists with an interest in aging populations, as
well functional medicine modalities to support a healthy aging process. This
program will provide an overview of functional medicine which addresses the
underlying causes of disease using a systems-oriented, patient-centered
approach.
Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this application-based activity, participants should
be able to:
- Define Functional Medicine (FM), and compare it with conventional, alternative and integrative medicine.
- Relate the seven core imbalances in functional medicine to the physiologic changes associated with aging.
- Utilize the six principles of FM to address the social issues and cultural factors in healthcare decisions.
- Identify interventions to improve quality of life using FM tools, including the timeline, matrix, and GOTOIT.

How to
Earn Credit:
Post-Test: You will have unlimited attempts to achieve a 70% or higher
on the post-test assessment.
CPE Credit: You must complete the post-test and evaluation within 365 days post purchase or by its expiration date September 10, 2022, whichever occurs first to receive credit. ASCP reports CPE attainment to ACPE and NABP via the CPE Monitor system. The course should be posted within 24-48 hours of evaluation completion. It is the responsibility of the participant to provide their correct date of birth (MMDD format) and NABP e-Profile ID on their member or guest profile on the ASCP Website.
