Target Audience:
The IMPACT
Act, passed by Congress in 2014, has an implementation schedule. The phase that
affects pharmacists practicing in senior care settings begins October 1, 2018.
ASCP members and staff have worked closely with CMS and the agencies charged
with compliance and can offer guidance on how to approach skilled nursing home
clients about implementation of the Act.
Additionally, in this Act, CMS has defined medication reconciliation and drug regimen review differently than in other regulations. This has led to a great deal of confusion, but you can be part of the solution! Attend this webinar to learn about the nuances of the law, as written, and explore the pharmacist’s role. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear how, as pharmacists, we can shape the evolution of this rule as well as future regulations by asserting our place in medication management.
