Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this application-based activity, participants should be able to:
- Differentiate depression from delirium and dementia in an older adult.
- Review available treatment options for depression which a focus on use in the geriatric population.
- Determine the risks associated with the development of serotonin syndrome in an older adult.
- Describe the clinical presentation of and management strategies for serotonin syndrome.
- Apply goals and recommendations to a patient case.

How to Earn Credit:
Post Test: You will have two attempts to achieve a 70% or higher. You will not receive answer feedback until you attain this score.
CPE Credit: You must complete the evaluation by October 7, 2017 by 11:59 pm ET to receive credit. ASCP reports CPE attainment to ACPE and NABP via the CPE Monitor system. The course should be posted within 24-48 hours of evaluation completion. It is the responsibility of the participant to provide their correct date of birth (MMDD format) and NABP e-Profile ID on their member or guest profile on the ASCP Website.
